The names of great French designers, Yves, Saint-Laurent, Dior, Cardin, Givenchy, coco Chanel- are famous worldwide. You can see the elegant boutiques of major designers on the avenue Montaigne or in the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. This is where wealthy people will buy their clothes and accessories. 5/5

Small Shops and Department Stores

But most (the majority) Parisians do not shop from designers.  In Paris everywhere, there are shops that are much cheaper than the shops of major designers. There are also department stores. In Paris, the department stores Galeries Lafayette and printemps are the most famous. There are also chain stores like cheap Prisunic. In department stores, you can go from one department to another. There are often promotional items and twice a year there are balances- early January and early July. 6.5/8

The Flea Markets

Teenagers love to go to the flea markets.  They go on the weekend because flea markets are closed during the week.  Flea markets are great shops where you can find anything- from clothing, food, tables, chairs, etc.  One can find clothing or accessories  with a large fashion label for very cheap.. or very expensive4.5/5
